You will not have too cut into the factory harness to get the installation done and over with either. All you have to do is unplug the connector near to the left rear of the car and plug our adapter in. Everything that you could possibly need for the installation is included in this kit so that you will not have to go hunting down anything extra. What does this kit include? 3’ Power Cable, Wire Harness pre-made with 3 wire connectors, cable ties, and 2 heat shrinkable butt connectors to keep water out. When say plug n play we mean plug n play. What we do ask that you note is that the adapter is for low current lights such as your license plate or whip light. You should not use it on larger lights and it could cause the fuse to blow or to damage the OEM wiring.
