Exhaust

UTV exhaust systems with turbo are popular for their ability to increase the power of Polaris RZRs. The turbo uses gas from the exhaust system to power a turbine, which then drives an air compressor that pumps more oxygen into the cylinders. This results in an increased amount of fuel burnt during the combustion cycle, leading to greater power. Those who ride non-turbo RZR 4s should know that once they experience the power of a turbo, they will likely become addicted to it. While it is possible to add a turbo to a non-turbo RZR 4, it requires more than just buying the turbo and bolting it on. Motor, clutch, and transmission work are necessary to retrofit the rig to handle the turbo, making it almost as expensive as buying a factory turbo RZR 4 instead. In conclusion, UTV exhaust systems with turbo are a surefire way to increase the power of Polaris RZRs, but it's important to consider the cost and effort involved in retrofitting a non-turbo RZR 4.

But if you have your heart set on a turbo exhaust system, companies like KT, Cali Boondocker, and Aerocharger can make it happen. Keep in mind, however, that the turbo RZRs run a 925cc engine, so in addition to the turbo kit, you'll also need some internal motor work to make your machine handle the turbo as the internal parts aren't as heavy as a turbo or supercharged motor. In addition to replacing the motor's rods and pistons, you'll also have to make adjustments to the valve train and head studs. If you can weld and have an understanding of how a turbo works, it wouldn't be difficult to build your own kit -- UTVs are way easier to work with than cars. But if you're not very mechanically inclined, an aftermarket turbo kit with the aforementioned engine upgrades is probably your best bet. Regardless, if you have any questions about turboed RZR exhausts, aftermarket RZR 4 exhausts, or replacement exhausts and exhaust parts, send us an email and we'll sort you out in no time.
