It is very possible that the 2019 Polaris RS1 is the first Polaris production year with no recalls or warranty issues. And because it comes stock with the Turbo S clutch, you shouldn't need to do anything to it unless you want better engagement / higher RPMs with larger tires or want to squeeze every possible bit of horsepower and speed from your machine. And although the RS1 might get beat in a drag race, it’s a monster in the woods, rocks, hills, mud and ruts… it can do it all. But throw on a Trinity exhaust, an agency power intake, and a vivid tune, and you’ll be riding in a rocket. For specific figures, a tune and clutch combo from Aftermarket Assassins or a similar company will add 6-7 HP with the tune alone, and an additional 3-4 HP with a clutch kit. Should you find yourself going up against a Turbo in a drag race, you’ll get them out of the hole by 3-4 lengths. And even once that turbo HP kicks in, if you’re running 32” fuel grippers, you’d probably end up dead even with most turbos on dirt.
Even if you’re not after higher top speeds and raw acceleration, clutch kits and clutch modifications can boost performance on mud, sand, or wherever you ride. For a lot of mudders running larger aftermarket tires, the factory setup engages too late. With an aftermarket RS1 clutch kit and tune, however, you can get your clutch to engage at RPMs around 1600-2000. QuadShop Customs, 3P Offroad, Bikeman are all companies that make quality clutching systems for the Polaris RS1, and if you factor in the price savings from belt ware reductions, they almost pay for themselves. Some RS1 clutch kits work with the stock clutch, replacing only a few components like the weights, spring, and the helix. It doesn’t matter if you crawl a lot and like your rig to stall up a little more than stock, or if you ride at higher elevations and want to hit 8,700 RPMs in the dunes, with an aftermarket clutch kit, anything is possible. So if you’re looking for a Tune/Clutch/Exhaust combo kit or just one of the three, here at Everything Polaris RZR, our name says it all, because we’ve got everything you’ll need to make your RS1 rip!
