The Sparks Racing Manual Cam Chain Tensioner is a must for any RZR 900 XP/XP4 or RZR 1000 XP/XP4. The stock tensioner not only can fail causing the cam chain to lose tension, but even a stock tensioner that’s in good working order can allow the engine to jump time during start up or if the engine is rotated backwards. Simply rotating your clutch to replace a belt or clutch maintenance can cause the engine to jump time. Don’t take a chance on damaging your engine!
Note:Â Make sure to swap the thin metal gasket off your stock tensioner before installing the new one. Setting and adjusting a manual cam chain tensioner requires a certain level of mechanical ability and understanding about cam chain tension.
