For the young and spry Polaris ACE owners out there, having power steering may not be imperative. But for those who ride long hours, power through ruts/mud, and run heavy tires on their ACE, power steering can be a lifesaver. Not only does electronic power steering make it easier to steer your rig -- increasing your stamina and improving handling -- but it also prevents bump-steer and a good portion of the jerkiness one feels in the steering wheel when riding rough and uneven terrain. But because Polaris didn’t come out with power steering for some of their ACE models (the 570 in particular) until 2016, if you have an older ACE and are looking for improved steering, a power steering kit is a viable option. While you might be able to find a good deal on a used OEM power steering kit, the ACE power steering kit by SuperATV is substantially cheaper and just as effective.
Regardless of which electronic power steering unit you choose to go with for your Polaris ACE, if you want to install it yourself and you know what you’re doing, it’s pretty much all plug-&-play and isn’t too bad of an install. It takes around 3-5 hours, so you can easily get it done in a single evening after work or on the weekend. It’s all nuts and bolts, so get the right tools and use YouTube should you get confused. If you’re getting up there in years but still like ripping it up in your Polaris ACE, if you put in long hours on the trail and push it to the absolute limit, or if you simply like to turn your steering wheel with nothing but your pinky finger, a power steering kit from Everything Polaris Ranger will help you power through whatever obstacles you face.
