Increased Range of Motion To accommodate suspension travel the axles utilize a slip spline that allows the axle to compress and extend 2". This helps to prevent disengagement of the inner CV joint from the transaxle when the suspension is at full droop. Telescoping axle bars are carried on linear motion ball bearings for smooth action that won't bind under load.
Increased Operating Angle Typical axles use inboard CV joints that must both operate at an angle, and allow suspension travel. This dual purpose design limits articulation angle to about 25°, while travel is limited to 1.25" - 1.5", which is inadequate for ATV's and UTV's with lift kits, or long travel suspension. These axles utilize fixed Rzeppa inner CV joints that allow 45° of articulation, while a slip spline in the axle shaft provides 2" of travel.
