Depending on what Polaris ACE model you have -- be it the XC or SP -- and the aftermarket accessories you run, you might have to trim the front or rear fenders so that they fit around things like large rear bumpers and protruding aftermarket grills. If you’re feeling really inspired, you can make your own ACE fenders out of household materials. Using some Husky liner 36" "Long John" mud flaps, a bit of angle iron or aluminum, and a whole lot of ingenuity, you can make your own Sportsman fenders. Start by cutting the angle aluminum into about three- or four-inch pieces so that they fit perfectly on the inside side lip of the factory fender flares. Drill two holes in each for plastic rivets, which will give the final product a cleaner look. Then underneath you can screw through the mud flap and into the other side of the aluminum. Trim where needed -- especially in the front, outer-lower corner as it has a tendency to catch on things -- and you’re golden. You might want to carry some extra rivets just in case you pop one on the trail, but all in all your homemade ACE fender flares should do the trick if you build em right. But for those without the time, skill, or desire to fabricate their own Polaris fender flares, we’ve got you covered. After all, if you want the best of the best, you gotta go with the pros. And at Everything Polaris RZR, we offer nothing but the best of the best for you and your Polaris Sportsman Ace.
